Postal Circle, Ambala has issued a notification for recruitment to the posts of Staff Car Driver (Ordinary Grade). This recruitment is for Indian citizens who want to apply in General Central Service, Group ‘C’, Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial category.
The purpose of this recruitment is to appoint candidates to two posts in the state.
Number of posts and salary
Under this recruitment, applications have been invited for a total of two posts, in which one post is for General Category (UR) and one for OBC category. Selected candidates will get a monthly salary ranging from Rs 19,900 to Rs 63,200, which comes in Level-2 as per the government pay scale.
Application date and fee
The application process has started from 20 November 2024 and the last date to apply is 19 December 2024. Candidates have to pay Rs 500 (for General, EWS, and OBC categories) and Rs 100 (for SC, ST, and female candidates) as application fee. The fee will be paid through Indian Postal Order (IPO).
Qualification and Age Limit
To apply in this recruitment, the candidate must have passed at least 10th class and must have a valid driving license of light motor vehicle (LMV) and heavy motor vehicle (HMV). Apart from this, the candidate must also have at least 3 years of driving experience. The age limit is kept between 18 to 27 years, and the age will be calculated as on 19 December 2024. As per the government rules, age relaxation will also be provided.

This selection process is to ensure that the candidates are not only physically capable but also proficient in the field of driving. The written test consists of tests of general knowledge and mental ability, while the skill test and driving test will check the driving ability of the candidate.

Candidates have to fill the application form properly and send it to the prescribed address. The address to send the application form is:
